Wilhelmsen Ahrenkiel Ship Management is a technical ship manager based in Hamburg, Germany, and in Rhoon, the Netherlands. We focus on container ships.
Our shareholders are the globally operating Wilhelmsen Group and MPC Capital AG. We offer our clients commercial asset and ship management.

DR MICHAEL SILIES
CEO
Dr. Michael Silies studied in Münster, Oxford and Göttingen. He has been with MPC Capital since 2003 in various management positions with a focus on shipping. Dr. Silies was appointed CEO of Ahrenkiel Steamship in spring 2015 and also holds this position in the new joint venture Wilhelmsen Ahrenkiel Ship Management.
Marius Dietrichson
CFO
Marius Dietrichson holds a M.Sc. in Management from Imperial College Business School and a Master in Accounting and Auditing from Norwegian Business School. He has both operational and auditing experience having held various positions in PwC and Wilhelmsen Ship Management. Mr. Dietrichson joined Wilhelmsen Ahrenkiel Ship Management as CFO in November 2020.
JAN-ERIC PANITZKI
COO
Jan-Eric Panitzki holds a master's certificate and has been working in the shipping industry since 1984. After holding management positions in several shipping companies, he joined Ahrenkiel Steamship as COO in April 2015. In the new joint venture Wilhelmsen Ahrenkiel Ship Management he also took over the position of COO.
