Barber Ship Management was founded in 1975 in Hong Kong as one of the first dedicated third-party ship managers with a strong focus on technical quality and tanker operations. Barber operated until 2008 before it was rebranded as Wilhelmsen Ship Management.
2022
The Barber Name Sets Sail Again.
In 2022, the Barber name was reintroduced with the acquisition of Ahrenkiel Tankers in Hamburg, reestablishing it as a stand-alone brand focused exclusively on tanker management.
2024
Aquisition of ZEABORN Tankers
In 2024, Barber was strengthened by the acquisition of ZEABORN Tankers expanding its fleet with MR1 and MR2 oil / product tankers.
